If I have wings I'll be all over the world!!!
sometimes its hard to be me...all I want is to go home, but I don't know where that is...I think one reason I want to travel is to find a place I can call home (my own home!)
A bit about me
I am a modern nomad! I have no permanent home. It is normally where my bed is at any given time. I associate Cebu, Philippines as my base, why? Because I was born there!!!
I don't know how my thirst for traveling came into mind. I can't remember my first travel but I remember very well I fed on dreams of having wings like a fairy flying from place to place. My aunt gave me lots of books to read and my parents favourite gifts were books, so I imagined myself the traveling character from the book. I used to dream about Aladdins carpet taking me to palaces in Egypt, travel to india on the back of an elephant or on the roof of a train, the beach in an isolated island, sitting in a hammock in between coconuts in a middle of nowhere - these were all in my dreams. Most of them I have done, not necessarily how it was in my dreams but I have done it the closiest to how it was in my dream. I guess, I am lucky or perhaps my will is stronger than my luck - so it seems!
Some facts about me
- I have drunk snake blood in Vietnam.
- I love japanese food and can eat sashimi all day.
- I am afraid of frogs and gechos but I have a three legged frog figurine that I hold dear.
- I have eaten crocodile meat, snake, squirrel, porquopine, frog, horse, wild boar and wild deer.
- I love white wines from Italy, New Zealand, France and Restlieng from Germany.
- I write my travel blogs on the road, in a bus, car or train and airplanes.
- I don't like to be alone but i travel solo sometimes.
- I turn on the TV at home even if Im not watching, it makes me feel the TV is watching over me and I dont feel alone.
- I signed up for online dating for the fun of it, it's like online shopping MEN!
- I speak English, Tagalog, good notion in Spanish, French, Portuguese and I pretend that I speak Italian and Arabic too, believe it or not I can swear in many languages :)
- I eat tuna everyday for lunch.
- I am fascinated with Bali but I can't see myself living there.
- I love to eat street food wherever I go.
- I think I am suffering from low self esteem but others praise or envy my confidence.
- I have 10 best friends and people doesnt believe it.
- There was a time in my life that i was only eating muesle bars for breakfast, kitkat and coke for lunch and beers for dinner, lasted 6 months and I survived!
- I traveled to more places than my age! and every year I plan to go places i have not been.
I put this website together so I can share my experiences, thoughts and lessons that I learned on the road of life.
